The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to ensure that the information system is maintained according to schedule, rectified according to type of defect/default whereby the information system performance is assessed according to organisation requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:-

 Identify information system maintenance requirement;

 Prepare information system maintenance requirement;

 Coordinate information system preventive maintenance activities;

 Coordinate information system corrective maintenance activities;

 Evaluate information system preventive maintenance ; and

 Produce information system maintenance report.
